The Weeknd invites you backstage for his “Heartless” performance on Colbert

The Weeknd performed new song "Heartless" on The Late Show on Thursday. In a change to the standard late-night performance, Abel Tesfaye was filmed in the backstage corridors of the Ed Sullivan Theater, where Stephen Colbert's show is recorded. The stylish broadcast gets trippier as it goes along, with walls moving to reveal strange and unknown things. Check it out above.

"Heartless" is one of two new Weeknd songs released in the past month. The other, "Blinding Lights," dropped last week. The Canadian artist also appears in new Safdie Brothers movie Uncut Gems. The movie, in which Adam Sandler plays a jewel thief, opens on December 13.
