Stormzy announces global tour dates
The British artist will perform in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the U.K. in 2020.
Stormzy has announced a huge world tour in support of upcoming album Heavy is The Head. The U.K. artist, who this summer became the first grime MC to headline Glastonbury, will play 55 dates across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa from February 2020.
The tour begins in Dubai and concludes in Lagos, Nigeria on October 10. The run of dates in Africa will include a show in Ghana, the country of his family. The North American leg features shows at Brooklyn Steel in New York and Los Angeles' The Novo. Tickets for all dates will be available from 9 a.m. local time on December 6. Tickets for the Dubai show go on sale at 8 a.m. local time on December 4.
Heavy Is The Head is released on December 13. Last week Stormzy shared a video for "Own It," his collaboration with Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy. He has also been involved in the upcoming U.K. election, backing Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and causing a spike in voter registration following a call to young people.
