The 2020 nominees for the 51st Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards Gala have been announced, as Pitchfork notes.The group of nominees includes Mariah Carey, The Neptunes, Outkast, Patti Smith, R.E.M., Gloria Estefan, the Isley Brothers, Mike Love of the Beach Boys, Steve Miller, Journey, Eurythmics, Vince Gill, Roger Nichols, William "Mickey" Stevenson, Jarry Fuller, Tony Macaulay, Sonny Curtis, Bob McDill, and many more. Last year, the inductees included Yusuf (Cat Stevens), John Prine, Missy Elliott, Dallas Austin, Jack Tempchin, and Tom T. Hall. The inductees for the coming year will be announced at the Awards Gala on June 11, 2020. The full list of the 2020 nominees is here.
