Clams Casino has announced details of a new album. Moon Trip Radio, the producer's first proper album since 2016, is due out November 7 via tktktk. There's also a new single, "Rune" — a return to the gauzy days of Clams Casino's earliest Instrumentals tapes, all corrupted MPCs and choirs of ancient aliens — which you can stream below.
Clams Casino, born Michael Volpe, rose to fame with his acclaimed series of instrumental mixtapes, starting in 2011. His beats sounded like trip-hop with a squeegeed third eye, and came to define the "based" era of rap led by Lil B. He collaborated with A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples, and more for his album 32 Levels, and he's worked with artists like Lil Peep and Joji in the interim.
