Danny Brown is currently on tour promoting his new album uknowhatimsayin¿ with support from London-based rapper Ashnikko. Last Friday, October 18, they performed at Dallas venue Canton Hall. According to Ashnikko, she was subjected to "some lame ass dude heckling me n shouting that my 'music sucks' while I was on stage." Writing on Twitter, Ashnikko claimed that the man put on headphones as she attempted to continue her set, leaving her in tears.
The moment didn't go unnoticed by Brown, who called the man out on his actions from the stage later that night. "We respect women, if you're a fan of Danny Brown you respect them the same way you respect me," he said in footage that has subsequently gone viral. Ashnikko thanked Brown on Twitter, calling the Detroit rapper "a legend." Check out the clip, which ends with the heckler walking out of the gig, below.
