The so-called "legends" slot is a Glastonbury staple and is routinely filled by a musical icon playing a mid-afternoon greatest hits set. This year Kylie Minogue performed while other acts to appear across the years include Dolly Parton, Brian Wilson, Johnny Cash, ELO, and Lionel Richie.

Ross is the first act to be announced for the 2020 festival, which will be 50th anniversary of the annual event. Bookmakers' favorites to headline include Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac, Paul McCartney, and The 1975. The 2019 festival was headlined by Stormzy, The Killers, and The Cure.
