Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has made an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to discuss his life, politics, and his latest solo record ANIMA, which was released earlier this year. On last night’s show, the pair discussed everything from Boris Johnson and Brexit to Colbert’s sons’ love of Radiohead to ANIMA, and the album’s accompanying visuals made in collaboration with Paul Thomas Anderson. (Yorke has historically been incredibly critical of Brexit, previously comparing it to “the early days of the third reich.”) It’s a typically enlightening conversation — watch all eleven minutes of it below.
Earlier this year, Radiohead released 18 hours of OK Computer sessions after they were leaked online. The same month, Yorke released ANIMA. Mere months before that, he released a new EP of outtakes from last year’s Suspiria score. Yorke also recently collaborated on a new track with Flea. It’s a fruitful time to be a Thom Yorke fan!
