Former SOB X RBE member Lul G was arrested last month on suspicion of murder, The FADER can confirm. The rapper, whose real name is George Harris, was taken into custody in Clark County, Nevada on September 21 on one count of felony murder and is currently being held without bail at the Stanton Correctional Facility in Fairfield, California.
"Lul G hasn’t been a member of SOB X RBE since late 2018 and there is no official statement from the group beyond that," a representative for SOB X RBE wrote in an email to The FADER this afternoon.
Lul G has been on probation since the age of 17 owing to robbery and gun charges, Ben Dandridge-Lemco reported in his cover story on the group in 2018. “They’ve been making it difficult,” he said of the D.A.'s attempt to extend his probation for another year. “Like, it’ll be big opportunity that none of us will probably ever see again in our lives and they’ll just tell me, ‘No.’ Straight up. It’s like, basically, y’all want me to lose my career, so I have nothing, so I’m forced to do stuff that’ll have me stuck in this system.”
