Listen to Closer To Grey, Chromatics’ first album in seven years
Closer To Grey, the band’s “seventh” album, features a Jesus and Mary Chain cover.
Chromatics have released Closer To Grey, their first album in seven years and, chronologically, the follow-up to 2012’s Kill For Love. While this is the sixth record Chromatics have released, they’re billing it as their seventh; that’s because Dear Tommy, the album that was supposed to follow Kill For Love — which the band have been teasing since shortly after that album’s release — never materialised. Closer To Grey is 45 minutes long, around half the length of Kill For Love, and includes a Jesus and Mary Chain cover (“On The Wall.”) In recent years, Chromatics have released standalone singles including "Time Rider" and "Shadow" and, earlier this year, covered Hole.
