ALLBLACK and Offset Jim have been the most dynamic rap duo in Oakland for some time now. They've showcased their chemistry on tracks like "Penny & Shaq" in the past but, this October, they'll deliver a full collaborative project called 22nd Ways. The first single from the project, which premieres on The FADER today, is "Fees," an uptempo slap produced by P-Lo with Capolow on the hook. In the video, BLACK and Jim hold court on the sidewalk.
Over email, ALLBLACK and Offset Jim shared a few words abou the project and shared their thoughts on Drakeo The Ruler, who was recently acquitted on murder charges but still faces refiled charges of criminal gang conspiracy and shooting from a motor vehicle.
“We don't work at Lids so it ain't no cappin' over here," ALLBLACK wrote. "22nd Ways is just one page of our playbook. The West Coast is on fire right now... just got off the phone with Drakeo The Ruler. He is a huge inspiration to me and Jim. The first person in this shit to really embrace us. He was found not guilty and they still holding him. Real trendsetter. Free that young man.“
Offset Jim added: "22nd Ways strictly for the niggas and bitches that be running plays. FREE THE RULER."
