Former Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter is seeking a restraining order against his brother Aaron Carter, citing safety concerns for his pregnant wife and unborn child. The Carters’ sister Angel will also be seeking a restraining order. “After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today,” Nick wrote on Twitter. “In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behaviour and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family.” Read the full note below, via Stereogum.

Aaron has tweeted a series of responses, outright denying Nick’s allegations and writing “So my brother just got a restraining order against me. And I was just served lol … @nickcarter we’re done for life … I am astounded at the accusations being made against me and I do not wish harm to anyone, especially my family.”

The Carter family has been embroiled in various struggles over the past few years; in late-2017, Nick was accused of rape by Melissa Schuman, of pop group Dream. He outright denied the allegations, and the LAPD declined to pursue an investigation into the claim due to the statute of limitations.
