Lizzo apologizes for accusing Postmates driver of stealing her order

“There were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger,” she wrote on Twitter.

On Tuesday, Lizzo tweeted a screencap of her Postmates app and accused a driver of stealing her food. After backlash accusing Lizzo of targeting vulnerable food service workers, the "Truth Hurts" singer has now apologized.

"I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could've put her in danger," she wrote on Twitter. "Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door." Read her statement below:

This week, "Truth Hurts" stayed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a third week in a row.
