So let me get this straight: you're living in the year 2019, you've managed to completely tune out and disregard all of the ceaseless xenophobia Morrissey has been spewing for the past decade or so, and you still want to see him live. I suppose now is as opportune of a time as any: as Consequence of Sound points out, tickets for his forthcoming tour are selling for as low as $7 in certain markets. In cities such as Seattle, Detroit, Portland, and Los Angeles, he's currently set to play to half-full amphitheaters.
To make matters messier, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has announced a boycott of Bigmouth's opening night in Baltimore. “Under the circumstances, attending Morrissey’s concert is a form of financial support and, in effect, an endorsement of his bigotry,” Zainab Chaudry wrote to The Baltimore Sun. “Therefore, CAIR is calling on fans to boycott the event to protest his racist, hate-filled views and to send a strong message that we expect better from him.”
Morrissey's last album California Son arrived this past spring, with a bevy of alt-rock enabl— err, collaborators. Earlier this summer, Morrissey posted an interview on his website where he attempted to deny accusations of racism by stating that "everyone ultimately prefers their own race."
