Earlier this spring, Bill Callahan returned with his first album in six years, Shepherd in a Sheepskin Vest. He's currently touring the album, and last night, he brought his live show to New York's Webster Hall. While there, he paid tribute to his Drag City labelmate David Berman, who died earlier this month. “Time to cry,” Callahan said, before launching into the two covers. “With David gone, everything’s different.” Callahan played “Trains Across The Sea” and “I Remember Me,” off Silver Jews' Starlite Walker and Bright Flight, respectively.
