Chicago-based band Whitney have shared “Used To Be Lonely,” a new cut from their forthcoming sophomore record Forever Turned Around. Initially a quieter, more melancholy cut than the previously-released “Valleys (My Love)” and “Giving Up,” “Used To Be Lonely” builds to a warm, powerful coda built around strings and the band’s trademark horn section. It’s delightful. Watch the video for “Used To Be Lonely” above.
Ahead of the release of Forever Turned Around, Whitney also released “FTA,” an acoustic version of the album’s title track. In support of Forever Turned Around, the band will go on a gargantuan North American and European tour, including four dates in their hometown at Thalia Hall. Find details here.
