If you slept on Lykke Li's last album, so sad, so sexy, I honestly feel so bad for you. Doubtlessly one of the most underrated records of last year, it's a remarkably polished and emotional complex project that honors the overlap between sorrow and horniness. Clocking in at ten tracks, it's a concise endeavor, and quite a bit was left on the cutting room floor. This is a good thing for two reasons — first of all, editing is your friend. Nobody needs an album with more than thirteen songs.
But second of all, it means that we're getting a totally new EP with that material. It's called still sad, still sexy, because Lykke Li can commit to the bit. The project features two remixes (with guest appearances from Lil Baby, Ty Dolla $ign, Skrillex and snowsa), alternate versions of "deep end" and "so sad so sexy," and two entirely new tracks, "baby doves" and "neon." You owe it to yourself to listen. Do that below.
