The song marks the end of a relationship and the importance of living life alone after a period of co-habitation. The song features vocals from Jhené Aiko, who was in a relationship with Big Sean, and Ty Dolla $ign.
Tweeting about the subject matter of his new song, Sean wrote: "I never knew that I didn’t know how to be alone in life. I always would find so much joy n happiness in a relationship or being with friends, but I didn’t know how important it was to be in a relationship with yourself."

Earlier this week Big Sean shared "Overtime," his first new solo song since 2017.
In September 2018 Big Sean revealed that he's been learning to play piano and brushing up on his singing skills ahead of his next record. This followed him postponing a headline North America tour “to stay focused in the studio.”
