Chicago's Pitchfork Music Festival was evacuated on Saturday following a thunderstorm, meaning multiple scheduled acts including Belle & Sebastian and The Isley Brothers will not get to take the stage. At the halfway point of the festival's second day, organizers called for an evacuation of Union Park, citing "dangerous weather conditions" as the cause.
"Please calmly and quickly leave the festival grounds and find shelter," the festival's organizers urged on Twitter. Today's lineup was set to include The Isley Brothers, Belle & Sebastian, Freddie Gibbs, Jeremih, Stereolab and more. While Friday saw acts like Pusha T and Haim take the stage and Sunday will feature Robyn, Charli XCX and more, there's no word yet on any plans to reschedule the remaining acts from Saturday's lineup or if the festival may resume later this evening.
