Next week, New York rapper King Carter, and U.K. rapper and producer Rago Foot (who also plays the drum pad in King Krule's live band) are releasing their collaborative mixtape Prayers Ain't Enough. The first offering from the project is "Run It Up," which finds King Carter and fellow Slums collective member MIKE trading uplifting verses over Rago Foot's hypnotizing loop. In the Ryosuke Tanzawa-directed video, in between candid scenes and performance footage of the two, King Carter and MIKE stand on a rooftop with the bricks of New York City housing as their backdrop.

"I saw something in Cheikhuana [King Carter] that nobody else could," Rago Foot told The FADER. "I hope after listening to this project you’ll see it too.” King Carter adds: “Your truth is false become the solution not the cause.” The duo recorded the album in London at the end of 2018, recruiting additional features from George Riley, Goya Gumbani, and more.
