Nicki Minaj’s beef with BET wages on
Tfw ur still being dragged by that lace.
Don't expect Nicki Minaj to show up and collect any BET Awards in the near future. The rapper, who recently embarked on a bit of a social media hiatus, logged back on to Twitter today to resuscitate her beef with the network. If you'll recall, Nicki was initially poised to hit the stage at last weekend's BET Experience. When the network tweeted that she was being "dragged by her lacefront" after Cardi B won a Grammy back in February, Nicki (and the rest of Young Money) pulled out of the appearance.
The festival, and corresponding award show, aired this past weekend, with performances and appearances from Rihanna, DaBaby, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Cardi B, and Offset. Nicki was, understandably, not in attendance, but she did offer some input when Twitter user @musicnewsfact posted that this year's program faced its lowest ratings ever, calling the network "spiteful" and "messy."
Despite keeping a relatively low profile recently, Nicki's had a pretty booming month. Last week, she dropped her new dancehall-inflicted single "MEGATRON," as well as a collaboration with Trina. She also revived her "Queen Radio" show on Beats 1, and reached the top rankings of the iTunes charts when her 2012 song "Roman Holiday" became a viral meme via gay Twitter.
