My Chemical Romance stans have been foaming at the mouth for an official reunion since the band’s split six years ago, and, according to an unlikely source, they might be getting their wish sooner than they think. Joe Jonas, one third of the recently reunited Jonas Brothers, was recently interviewed on KISS FM’s Breakfast show and, when asked if he had any news, told the show: “I’ve got some dirt […] My Chemical Romance were apparently rehearsing next to us in New York recently, which, I thought they broke up.”
While this is far from a confirmation of a MCR reunion — if anything, this extremely vague remark should be taken with a boulder-sized grain of salt — it’s the most tangible evidence that something could be happening with the beloved pop-punk band. Watch the footage of Jonas discussing MCR below.
The Jonas Brothers themselves recently reunited to release Happiness Begins, their first new album in ten years. While the members of My Chemical Romance have been seen together publicly, bandleader Gerard Way has frequently denied rumours of a reunion.
