King Princess turned Tyra Banks’ Top Model rant into a club track

Before there were entire channels dedicated to trashy reality shows, only a select few were truly ingrained in the cultural consciousness in the way that Keeping Up With the Kardashians and the like are now. One such show was America’s Next Top Model, which in the early 2000s spawned a meme that’s endured to this very day: a clip of host Tyra Banks absolutely losing her shit yelling at a contestant, screaming “I was rooting for you! We were all rooting for you! How dare you?”
King Princess, a child of the internet, is definitely familiar with this meme, which is undoubtedly why she’s now remixed it into a lo-fi house track. Over the weekend she dropped a track on Soundcloud called “We Were All Rooting For You, Sis (how dare you) which begins with Tyra’s rant before loosening into a house beat. Think of it as a deeply aggressive version of DJ Boring’s “Winona.” Listen to the track above.
