Nipsey Hussle pays tribute to his beloved L.A. in the emotional video for "Higher." The song, which also features John Legend, is taken from DJ Khaled's new album, Father Of Asahd. Filming on the video reportedly wrapped just days before Nipsey was shot and killed outside his clothing store Marathon in March.
A message at the end of the video shows the Marathon logo and reads: “Rest in Paradise Ermias ‘Nipsey Hussle’ Asghedom."
Earlier this week, when it was revealed that Nipsey would appear on "Higher," DJ Khaled confirmed that all proceeds from the song would go to the late rapper's children.
Son Of Asahd was released on Friday, May 17. In addition to Nipsey Hussle, the star-studded album features appearances from Travis Scott, Cradi B, Meek Mill, SZA, Post Malone, Buju Banton, and many more.
