Oscar season is slowly revving up, and while we're still over two months away from the actual ceremony, the Academy has offered the first glimpse at who may be taking the Best Original Song statue home come February. Though the official nominees won't be revealed until January, the initial list of fifteen contenders is stacked with musical heavyweights such as Thom Yorke for Suspiria, Kendrick Lamar and SZA for Black Panther and Lady Gaga for A Star Is Born.
The legendary Sade also gets a nod for her contribution to the Widoes soundtrack, as well as Sampha for Beautiful Boy, and Troye Sivan and Jonsi for Boy Erased. The list also includes Dolly Parton, Mark Ronson and Quincy Jones, and Jennifer Hudson. Last year, "Remember Me" from Coco took home the Oscar, beating out Sufjan Stevens and Mary J. Blige.
