Before he got locked up in 2016, Jayo Sama had made a name for himself in his hometown of West Palm Beach, Florida with "Intro," a supercharged track that showed off his melodic sing-song delivery. His fanbase only grew behind bars and, upon his release, he hit the ground running, releasing a string of videos as well as his Out On Bond tape.

For his latest video, which premieres on The FADER today, the 21-year-old revisits "You Sleep," an older standout from his initial local rise in 2016. The self-produced song serves as an homage to friends and family who passed away and the video finds Jayo in an all-white outfit paying his respects at a cemetery as the names of those lost flash on the screen throughout. "I came up with the song while I was incarcerated back in 2016," Jayo Sama told The FADER. "I kept harmonizing the hook in my head over and over. When I got out, I had to make the beat."
