Boygenius (Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus) covered The Killers during a recent show in Los Angeles over the weekend. The folk-rock supergroup dished out a somber, stripped down rendition of "Read My Mind," off of The Killer's 2006 album Sam's Town. Watch it up above.
Late last month, Boygenius also showcased their intimate tunes at NPR's Tiny Desk. The group shared their eponymous debut EP back in October.
In her 2018 FADER cover story, Phoebe Bridgers said that Boygenius was like therapy to all three members. “Literally, every day we said to each other, ‘I feel so seen and heard.’ “It was very ‘therapy group.’ We needed each other’s energy," Bridgers said. "I needed that female energy. I could assert myself and no one questioned me.”
