Normani released a new single "Waves" featuring 6LACK on Thursday. Listen above. The track premiered live as Zane Lowe's World Record during his Beats 1 slot, and is the burgeoning singer's first release since sharing a two-track project with Calvin Harris last month.
Speaking to Lowe on Beats 1 about the song, Normani explained why she enlisted 6LACK, for the track, saying "He's such an important artist, and I've been following his journey for a while now, and we're really big fans of each other. Our text messages pretty much look like we're complimenting each other."
In October, Normani announced that she will be accompanying Ariana Grande on the pop star's Sweetener tour.
