Janelle Monáe has enjoyed a huge 2018 including the release of her multi-disciplinary Dirty Computer album in April and a subsequent world tour. This week she dropped a new session for Spotify made up of a live version of "I Like That" and a cover of Bob Marley & The Wailers’ 1975 song “High Tide Or Low Tide.” You can check that out below.
Last month it was reported that Monáe will appear in an upcoming biopic based on the life of slavery abolitionist Harriet Tubman. The film, titled Harriet, stars British actress Cynthia Erivo as Tubman. Monáe's upcoming acting roles includes a voice part and original music for the upcoming animated feature UglyDolls, and a role in Robert Zemeckis’s Welcome to Marwen starring Steve Carrell.
