Chance The Rapper developing musical movie Hope
Nico Segal will provide the music for the Chicago-based film.
Chance The Rapper is working on a movie musical titled Hope, Deadline reports. The movie, titled Hope, follows a group of Chicago teenagers that band together to turn art into action within their community.”
Nico Segal, a regular collaborator of Chance's, will work on the music for Hope while Empire writer Carlito Rodriguez is working on the script. Joining Chance as producers are his manager, Pat Corcoran, and Straight Outta Compton producer Scott Bernstein.
Earlier this year Chance starred in the horror-comedy Slice alongside Zazie Beetz and Y'lan Noel. Yesterday it was revealed that he will be a judge on Rhythm + Flow, Netflix's first music reality series, alongside Cardi B and T.I.
