Chicago hero Lil Durk has maintained his respected stature for years now, signing to Def Jam and then moving on to Alamo Records. While most of the internet probably remembers him because of a viral Twitter meme, real fans have been impatiently waiting for his latest album Signed to the Streets 3.

The FADER had Lil Durk drop by to take a moment and look back at some of his earlier, memorable times as a local artist. He reminisces over the Secrets venue where he had his first show and hometown legends Bump J and L.E.P. Bogus Boys. Durk also recalls the painful experience of quitting lean, from physical side effects to the psychological temptation. He closes with describing his shopping spree for luxury brands right before his "Right Here" video shoot.
