Ella Mai announced as SNL musical guest for November 17

Ella Mai has been named as the special musical guest for the upcoming November 17 episode of Saturday Night Live. Steve Carrell will host the evening — it will be his third time. This coming weekend, Lil Wayne will perform as the show's special musical guest with Liev Schreiber hosting.

Mai released her self-titled debut album in October. The project includes her smash hits "Boo'd Up" and "Trip" and appearances from John Legend, and H.E.R.
