Shout out to repping where you’re from. It’s something a handful of artists from East Atlanta’s Zone 6 have done emotionally through song, from Gucci to Future, Young Nudy, and 6lack. Today, 1017 Records signees Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Young Mal and Lil Quill add their own anthem to the canon of tributes to their neighborhood, “Zone 6”.
In the video, the three kick it around town, paying homage to their respective neighborhoods while Pablo lets their hometown pride ring out proudly on the hook. “I’m from Zone 6,” he repeats.
Spiffy Global produced the track, and over email, shared a few words about what the song means to him and his friends and collaborators. “‘Zone 6’ is a piece from us sharing an important part of Atlanta culture that help get Mal, Pablo, and Quill where they are today.” Peep “Zone 6” above, and look out for DMV and Blessed Lil Bastard III, upcoming projects from projects from Pablo Juan and Young Mal & Lil Quill, respectively.
