Viola Davis and Steph Curry will serve as executive producers for an upcoming documentary about the 2015 Charleston church massacre.
Deadline reports that the film, titled Emanuel, will include interviews with survivors and family members of the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina. The shooting, which was executed by white supremacist Dylann Roof, killed nine parishioners.
"The documentary highlights how a horrible tragedy can bring a community together, and spreads an important message about the power of forgiveness," Curry told the publication. "Stories like this are the reason we created Unanimous and entered the entertainment space."
On Twitter, Davis said that it is an "honor to be a part of this powerful piece of truth telling."
Emanuel is slated for a screening at DOC NYC later this month.
