Earlier this year Jamie Isaac, the south London singer-songwriter and close affiliate of King Krule, released his second album, (04:30 Idler). Keen to keep the momentum going, today he's back with more new music; a slow jam titled “Fool’n.”
"Fool'n" will be familar to fans of Isaac's late night jazzy sound, though it comes with a beefed up instrumental that Isaac credits to looking back to the 1960s for influence. “I wanted to marry the ‘wall of sound’ production style, which I’ve been obsessed with since I was a kid, with completely juxtaposing lyrics," he told The FADER via email.
"The song is about me falling out of love with music which is how I felt earlier this year, there were moments I wanted to stop all together. So I wanted that big romantic production style that would classically need a lot of money to achieve and to talk about why maybe that route hasn’t been good for me.”
