Halloween street style so good you’ll wanna pull from these looks year-round

Halloween’s today, but more than a few spooky functions took place this past weekend — Brooklyn’s Simulation Crash being one of them. The event-project and benefit party was produced by artist Zev Rector in collaboration with curatorial project Active Cultures and rave night Melting Point. All night, attendees went up to an insane lineup of DJs and artists curated by Active Cultures ranging from Richmond, Virginia noise outfit Prison Religion to NAAFI’s Debit, Halcyon Veil’s RABIT, to FDM specialists Epic B & Uninamise, to producer Dasychira. The event also featured a wild car wreck installation by Rector himself.

Proceeds from the event, made possible through support from Kenneth and Miriam Chan, went toward California-based non-profit Al Otro Lado, which provides direct legal services for indigent deportees, migrants, and refugees.

Outfitting yourself for maximum spookiness is super fun, but pulling off chilling looks with embedded chicness is next-level. Simulation Crash was filled with people who mastered getting a chilling fit off, turning bleeding faces, horned foreheads, and chains on chains into some of the most compelling looks imaginable.
