Last week the internet blew up when a picture of Justin Bieber eating a burrito from the middle emerged online. "Does the man behind 'Sorry' and 'Baby' not know how they work?" while the world slipped into more chaos at the same time. Chrissy Teigen got her take off, commenting that it was "the only way they should be eaten tbh, ends are just carb factories."
It turns out, however, that speculating whether Bieber does, or does not, know how to eat Mexican food was pointless as it wasn't even him in the picture. Despite looking deceptively similar (admittedly behind sunglasses and a big hat) the mystery burrito eater was, in fact, a lookalike hired by YouTube channel Yes Theory.
In a video titled "We Fooled the Internet w/ Fake Justin Bieber Burrito Photo" uploaded on Sunday the (of course) guys discussed how they staged the prank and what motivated them in the first place. "What if he's caught doing really weird stuff, like eating a burrito sideways?" they said in the video. "Sitting alone in a park, just bites sideways on the burrito."
