Lil Durk connects with Lil Skies for “Rockstar”
Watch the new video from the Chicago rapper’s upcoming Signed To The Streets 3 project.
When Lil Durk dropped Signed To The Streets in 2013, the mixtape captured a moment in Chicago, signaling drill's ascendence as Durk took the listener through 15 songs of melodic street anthems. Five years and new deal with Alamo Records later, Durk is preparing the release of Signed To The Streets 3 on November 9.
Today, Durk shares a new video for "Rockstar," the fourth single from the project which features Lil Skies and is premiering on The FADER. "There was a time I was gonna release a mixtape where all the records had heavy rock production on it," Durk explains of the song. '“Rockstar" was one of those records that was gonna be on it. Eventually, that idea died but I still had these songs and liked them. One day I played it for Skies and he loved it jumped on it - next thing I know we shooting a video in LA...in Beverly Hills on some rock star type shit.”
