Angelo De Augustine’s new album Tomb will come out January 18, 2019, on Sufjan Stevens’s Asthmatic Kitty Records — today, he shares a version of the lead single, “Time,” that features Stevens on piano. The liveclip accompanies the first listen of the official song, which features producer Thomas Bartlett a.k.a. Doveman instead of Sufjan, as seen in a video directed and filmed by Jess Calleiro. "This album is at its core a prayer for hope and clarity, and a prayer for love," De Augustine says, sounding as sweet as his singing voice.
Not to be all “can you believe it’s already October 16!” with "Time," but what the hell, and when will this all end, and what about everything we can’t get back. I wonder if there’s a point in time or a way where I can stop caring about things like that. I probably don’t regret any in-person interactions with people I love or with nature, which I also love. Was a hike ever a waste? Watch and see.
