A new Netlfix music documentary series will delve into significant moments from history involving musicians, including the 1976 assassination attempt on Bob Marley. ReMastered will air monthly from October 12 with episodes based on Johnny Cash, Jam Master Jay, Sam Cooke, Robert Johnson, and more all scheduled.
The eight-episode season will debut next month “Who Shot the Sheriff?,” investigating the role Jamaican politicians and the CIA played in a failed assasination attempt on Marley in Kingston, Jamaica 42 years ago. Marley suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and chest in the incident.
ReMastered will return in November with a look at Johnny Cash’s infamous White House meeting with Richard Nixon in “Tricky Dick and the Man in Black.” Future editions of the show will cover the murders of Sam Cooke and Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay, promising "discoveries and insights beyond what’s been previously reported.”
