Why should I listen?

This summer was kind of a flop in terms of highly anticipated releases from big artists. The upside of that was those little-known gems you came across during late night YouTube and Soundcloud click holes had room to become the highlights of the warmer months. For me, that song was “Like That” by Los Angeles singer, rapper and producer FlyGuyVeezy, which features another great up-and-comer by the name of Kalan.frfr. A constant collaborator of producer Paupa, Veezy makes happy-ass songs about young love, giggin’, and feeling good. He’s got a sweet voice that floats over the usually-twinkly and R&B-tinged production from Paupa. He's also a great producer in his own right, making a few cuts for Vallejo’s own SOB x RBE. His most recent project is a tape called Fractions that’s absolutely worth checking out, and blasting on a day when you need a little pick-me-up.
