Next month, French pop auteur Christine and the Queens (the project of Héloïse Letissier) will release her second album, Chris, which introduces her titular alter-ego. She's already offered two singles from the record, Dâm-Funk collaboration "Girlfriend" and dancefloor confessional "Doesn't Matter." Today, she's sharing yet another side of Chris with the brooding, kinky "5 Dollars."
In the Colin Solal Cardo-directed clip, Chris walks us through their morning routine which involves pushups, some shower dance moves and plenty of leather. “It’s dealing with some kind of love - the kind you can buy,” said Christine in a press release. "A note for a shag - how surprisingly soothing this can be! The power ratio runs clear, like water in your hands; it becomes a pure gesture of love, of ultimate consent.” Watch it above.
