Back in March, Sade ended a seven year drought with her first single in ages, "Flower of the Universe," which appeared in Ava DuVernay's A Wrinkle In Time. Its existence alone pointed toward the Lovers Rock artist spending time back in the studio. Now, it's been all but confirmed that she's working on a brand new album— but don't expect it anytime too soon.

Her longtime collaborator Stuart Matthewman, who plays saxophone and guitar in her band, broke the news to Rated R&B, saying that they have "a bunch of songs," and that "when we’re happy, then we’ll let everyone else hear it.” He added that there's been no pressure from Sade's label Epic Records, and that it "knows there’s no point in nagging us or giving us deadlines. It doesn’t really help the process."

Sade's been known to take her time between releases. Her three last full length LPs were released in 1992, 2000, and 2010, respectively. While we patiently await album seven, stream "Flower of the Universe" below.
