J Hus freed on bail
The U.K. artist is currently awaiting trial on knife charges.
J Hus has been freed on bail in court in London after posting £100,000 bond, a representative from Snaresbrook Crown Court has confirmed to The FADER.
Hus was arrested on June 21 on suspicion of being in possession of a knife or bladed article. The 23-year-old, real name Momodou Jallow, posted bail on Monday, July 2 and will be back in court on July 20 for a pre-trial hearing. Terms of his bail dictate that he is restricted from entering multiple areas of London including Hackney, Barking, Dagenham, and Tower Hamlets.
The initial arrest was made last month after his vehicle was pulled over by a marked police car in Stratford, east London. He was remanded in custody the following day at Thames Magistrates’ Court.
J Hus was scheduled to perform at Wireless festival in London this weekend but it has since been confirmed that he will no longer appear due to "unforseen circumstances."
The FADER has contacted a rep for J Hus who declined to comment.
