Bobbito García, best known as a co-host on the groundbreaking '90s hip-hop radio show The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show, is the subject of a new documentary called Rock Rubber 45s. The feature-length film, directed by García, promises to dive deep into his influence on hip-hop and other cultures, whether it's street basketball or sneaker collecting. Rock Rubber 45s will feature appearances from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chris Paul, Questlove, Chuck D, Raekwon, Patti LaBelle, Robert Glasper, Scottie Pippen, and many more.
Rock Rubber 45s is available worldwide on VOD July 24. New Yorkers will be able to catch the film in theaters: there will be a week-long run at The Metrograph starting June 28, and an extended run at the Maysles Cinema beginning July 6.
