The Get Out soundtrack is being released on vinyl
The OST is getting its first pressing on marbled green “Garden Party” wax.
Though Get Out came out a whole year and a half ago, it's never received a proper soundtrack release (not any physical editions, for that matter). That's all about to change this Friday, June 15, when Waxwork Records will release the Michael Abels score in its entirety on vinyl.
The double album will be pressed on “Garden Party” marble green wax and features some fantastic original illustrations from artist Leslie Herman. It'll also include a Jordan Peele-penned essay on the collaboration with Abels. I envisioned distinctly black voices harmonically creating an unnatural sound. The absence of hope. The void of the voiceless. A disembodied Negro spiritual. The Sunken Place," he writes.
The Get Out soundtrack hits stores this Friday. Until then, you can peep the record's packaging below.
