Last week, Pusha-T released his new album DAYTONA. Soon, it was revealed that the project's cover featured a photograph of Whitney Houston's bathroom, released in 2012 after the singer's death. The photograph was selected days before the album's release at the insistence of Kanye West, who paid $85,000 for the photograph's rights.
Now, Whitney Houston's estate have issued a statement to ET on the photograph's use, saying they are "extremely disappointed" in its usage. "Even in Whitney’s death, we see that no one is exempt from the harsh realities of the world," the statement reads.
The Whitney Houston documentary Whitney from director Kevin McDonald will be released in theaters on July 6.
