Mutual Benefit shares two new songs from forthcoming album Thunder Follows The Light

Jordan Lee, who performs as Mutual Benefit, has the unique ability to evoke serenity amongst sadness in his calm and climatic songs. That's certainly true for his two newest singles, "New History" and "Storm Cellar Heart," though the undercurrent of darkness pumps a bit stronger than it might have before.

“I think people in power benefit greatly from a general lack of historic memory in the United States,” he said regarding "New History," which features vocals from Johanne Swanson of Yohuna. Both of the songs will appear on his forthcoming album Thunder Follows The Light, which is due out on September 21 via Transgressive. Listen to them below.
