Plunge into Beach House’s 7 with their animated album visualizer.
All 47:16 of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally’s latest masterpiece, in an animation directed by San Charoenchai.
Today, Beach House released their magnificent seventh album, 7. The record features Victoria LeGrand and Alex Scally's most commanding sound yet, as well as production collaborations with Spacemen 3's Sonic Boom. Previously released singles "Lemon Glow," "Dive," "Dark Spring" and "Black Car" were each accompanied by stretchy psychedelic animations of black and white.
Today, in accordance with 7's arrival, the Baltimore duo revealed each of the segments to be part of a larger whole: a 47:16 animation that traverses the length of the entire album, building an environment around Legrand and Scally's odyssey. The stunning visual was directed by Los Angeles-based animator San Charoenchai, and it's an essential watch. Check it out below, and then read our interview with Legrand and Scally here.
