More than a decade ago, Berkeley crew The Pack emerged at the forefront of a young Bay Area rap scene, pioneering a sparse, party rap sound and harnessing the power of early social media sites to gain a following. Their smash hit "Vans," an anthemic track dedicated to the popular skate shoe, earned them a major label deal but, after releasing their Wolfpack Party album in 2010, Lil B, Young L, Lil Uno, and Stunnaman parted ways to focus on solo endeavors.
After touted reunion shows and much talk about new material, The Pack returns with a new video for "Why U Wanna Do That," which premieres on The FADER today. "[We] brought back that Wolfpack sound once again for the fans," Young L told The FADER over email. "Expect to hear Lil B on the next record; we have something special in store for the listeners this year." Watch the new video above.
