After a man emailed a bomb threat to Live Nation Music about a bomb placed at one of the venues of SXSW, the police searched the area but found no threat. Nonetheless, the sponsors of the show decided to cancel scheduled performances, including The Roots.
Later that same evening, Trevor Weldon Ingram was arrested on felony charges of making a terroristic threat, reported Variety. In a statement from Austin, Texas government officials it was announced that there were no other "broader security threats."
